Fab to First Close: Techable VC
Announcing our first close and the conviction behind Techable VC
There are moments in life that feel less like a finish line and more like a quiet confirmation. This is one of them.
We are thrilled to share that Techable VC has reached its first close. It’s a meaningful milestone- but more than that, it’s the formal beginning of something that has been decades in the making.
Starting a venture capital firm is no joke. There’s no playbook. No shortcuts. It tests patience, conviction, and identity all at once. The willingness to keep going when progress feels invisible is hard to put into words. What makes it possible is conviction. Conviction in founders. Conviction in a thesis. Conviction in the people who choose to back you before it’s obvious.
Some of my most important lessons were learned years ago, standing in a fabrication room learning how semiconductor chips actually get built, or don’t get built. That experience taught me to respect constraints early, because in the physical world, reality always has the final say. Over time, every role sharpened how I show up—
Engineer.
Researcher.
Product marketer.
Developer advocate.
Now, investor.
Leaving NVIDIA After Close to Seven Years
In 2018, I had just returned from India after my mom suffered a heart attack, I almost missed this email in my inbox-
The interviews went well, and joining NVIDIA turned out to be one of the best professional decisions I could have made, long before the scale and spotlight arrived. Those years shaped how I think about technology, scale, and what it really takes to move ideas from research into the real world. The speed and rigor of those teams, guided by Jensen’s leadership, are lessons I carry forward in how I support founders today. I had the privilege of working at the intersection of AI, robotics, hardware, and developers at a moment when those systems were becoming foundational. I learned how platforms are built, how ecosystems form, and what it takes on the front lines to position deeply technical products for entirely new markets and earn trust over time.
It’s nostalgic to look back and realize I once wrote the first announcement about PyTorch running on NVIDIA GPUs. Not long after, Jensen Huang entrusted me with telling the story of how Tensor Cores work for the deep learning community.
At NVIDIA, I not only had the privilege of being among the first to help tell the story of AI, deep learning, and robotics to the world I was helping expand NVIDIA’s startup footprint globally and learning what it truly takes to support builders at the edge of possibility. After close to seven years, leaving NVIDIA felt less like closing a chapter and more like continuing the same journey from a new vantage point. I wanted to help founders navigate the same inflection points I had seen again and again: translating deep tech into products, making early architectural decisions that compound, and building with conviction before the market catches up. I left to apply everything I’d learned more directly, more broadly, and more intentionally.
The Birth of Techable VC
After close to seven years at NVIDIA and an MBA from UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, Techable VC came into focus in 2025.
Techable VC is named after a simple belief shaped early on— technology matters most when it turns complex ideas into something usable, scalable, and capable of changing what’s possible. The logo draws inspiration from deep learning frameworks.
We are at the beginning of a fundamental shift.
For the last decade, AI was a vague term that gradually stayed confined to pixels, models, dashboards, and APIs. Today, intelligence is taking shape in voice, vision, materials, machines, and movement.
Robot cells, sensors, drones, factory floors, and scientific instruments are becoming adaptive, autonomous, and learning-driven. This is the era of Physical AI, where software must survive contact with reality: latency, power constraints, safety standards, cost, and physics itself.
This moment feels different because the ingredients are finally converging. Compute has reached a tipping point. Foundation models are no longer theoretical. Simulation, perception, and control are being re-imagined. A new generation of founders are now fluent across software and hardware. This moment favors teams who can translate intelligence into systems that work outside the lab and investors who understand how those systems are actually built.
I’ve worked inside companies like Intel and NVIDIA as deep technology moved from research to products used by developers, startups, and enterprises. This thesis isn’t abstract to our team. It’s lived. I had a front-row seat to NVIDIA’s robotics journey, often running point most notably during the early launch of GR00T in 2024.
I’ve seen where systems and execution fails, where integration hiccups happen, where teams stretch and how small technical decisions compound into long-term advantages. I understand the rigor and context switches. I understand when founders need depth and when they need someone to help them cut through noise and get to the point. I bring everything I’ve learned, alongside a small, deeply committed team, into service of our founders.

We’ve made four investments so far through Techable VC’s Fund 1. We are actively writing checks to U.S. startups from pre-seed through select Series A.
